Banff Recreational Pavillion – Innovative building envelope that reduces energy needs and sequesters carbon through use of prefabricated mass timber and wood fibre insulation.
Passive House Multi-Family Building – By assembling a collaborative team of experts and completing an in-depth cost and energy analysis, this team was able to design and build a multi-family building in Edmonton to Passive House standards while providing options to fill the missing middle.

Avenue Living recently announced a landmark deal with the Canada Infrastructure Bank (CIB). Together, the CIB and Avenue living will commit $162M towards retrofitting low-density residential buildings to decrease GHG emissions by up to 50%, optimize building performance, and enhance functionality for approximately 10,000 residents across the Prairies. This presentation will present insights on how they are delivering this large-scale retrofit project, including a discussion on the infrastructure evaluation, design work, implementation, risk mitigation, and expected outcomes.
